簡介:

Dr. Jun Li currently serves as Past President of the Comparative Education Society of Hong Kong (2014-2016), and is an associate professor at the Department of Educational Administration and Policy of the Faculty of Education of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He started his academic career in the early 1990s, and has worked at the Universities of Hong Kong (CERC), Tokyo (GSE), Maryland (CoE), Toronto (OISE), and the Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd). Dr. Li is also a research fellow of HKIEd's Centre for Governance and Citizenship and Centre for Lifelong Learning Research and Development, and the OECD Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) Hong Kong Centre, and advisory professor of Southwest University and Nanjing Agricultural University, respectively. In addition, he also serves as an associate editor of Education Journal.

 

Dr. Li has expertise in policy analysis in comparative and international education, higher education, citizenship education and civil society, teacher education, also in Chinese and Asian studies in education, culture and religion. He has extensively published, with several academic books and dozens of journal articles/book chapters in English, Chinese and Japanese, including the new co-authored book, Portraits of 21st Century Chinese Universities: In the Move to Mass Higher Education (Springer/CERC, 2011), which won the second place of the Annual CIES Higher Education SIG Best Book Award (2010-2011), “World-class Higher Education and the Emerging Chinese model of the University” (Prospects, 2012), and “China’s Quest for World-Class Teachers: A Rational Model of National Initiatives and Institutional Transformations” (The Asia-Pacific Journal of Teacher Education, 2013). His new book, The Chinese Model of Policy Implementation: Multiple Perspectives on Teacher Education Reform, is under contract with Springer by 2014.

 

As Principal Investigator, Dr. Li is currently leading an ear-marked UGC/GRF research project entitled "China-Africa University Partnerships in Education and Training", and other projects, “Confucius Institutes and Classrooms in China’s Rise: Comparative Case Studies of University and School Partnerships in Japan and the Philippines” and “World-class Universities, Publication and Research Assessment: Rethinking the Mission of Higher Education in the Global Age”. He has been recently active in large-scale, international research projects, such as UNESCO and World Bank’s System Assessment and Benchmarking for Education Results (SABER), UNESCO’s Lifelong Learning and Employability: Analytic Research of Eight Countries and Regions in Asia and the Pacific, the IEA International Civic and Citizenship Education Study (ICCS) China Pilot, and the OECD Program for International Student Assessment (PISA Hong Kong).

 

李軍博士現任香港比較教育學會往屆會長(2014年至今),及香港中文大學教育學院教育行政與政策學系副教授。他於九十年代初開始學術生涯,曾先後在香港大學、東京大學、馬里蘭大學、多倫多大學及香港教育學院工作,並兼任香港教育學院管治與公民中心以及終身學習研究與發展中心的研究員、經合組織 (OECD) 學生能力國際評估計劃香港中心 (PISA Hong Kong Centre) 研究員、以及西南大學和南京農業大學顧問教授。此外,他還擔任《教育學報》副編。

 

李博士的專門領域包括比較和國際教育政策分析、高等教育、公民教育和公民社會、教師教育、中國及亞洲文化和宗教研究。他以英、中、日文發表學術論著多種。最近出版有與許美德教授等合著的《21世紀中國大學的肖像——高等教育大眾化》 (Springer/CERC,2011;2012年該書榮獲美國比較與國際教育學會高等教育分會[CIES-Higher Education SIG]最佳圖書二等獎〉、“世界一流高等教育和中國大學模式的崛起”(聯合國教科文組織《國際教育展望》,2012年)、及“世界一流教師的中國探索——國家政策與院校轉型的理性模式”(《亞太教師教育期刊》,2013)等。他的新著《政策實施的中國模式——教師教育改革的多元分析》已與Springer簽約,定於2014年出版。

 

作為首席研究員,李博士目前領導香港大學教育資助委員會優配研究金的研究項目“中國和非洲大學在教育和培訓領域的合作”(項目編號:842912),及其它研究項目,如中國崛起中的孔子學院和課堂——日本與菲律賓大學和學校合作案例的比較研究世界一流大學、學術出版及研究的評估——全球化背景下高等教育使命的再思考他還活躍於大型國際研究項目,如聯合國教科文組織和世界銀行的“學生學業成就的國別評估及標準〈SABER〉”、聯合國教科文組織的“終身學習與就業——亞太八國及地區的分析研究”、國際教育成就評價協會關於公民與公民教育的國際研究(ICCS) 的中國試點、及經合組織(OECD)學生能力國際評估計劃香港中心(PISA Hong Kong Centre)研究項目等。
